Eleven years worth of manuscript daily journals kept by William S. Brown while an architect at the New York offices of Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill from 1945-1955. Entries suggest Brown worked closely alongside firm founder Louis Skidmore (referring to him as "Skid") on myriad important projects including the Oak Ridge National Laboratories in Tennessee and the firm's iconic Lever Building on Park Avenue in Manhattan.

An intriguing primary source glimpse at the inner-workings of an important American architectural firm in the first decade post-World War II.
