Contemporary pencil notation to verso: "SAINT LOUIS / FEBRUARY 8TH - 1895 / JOS. A. KANE." Print lightly faded, lower right chunk out of mount. Overall good.
An evocative view of a St. Louis streetcar dated 1895. Lettering to the front of the car reads: "Grand Ave. Rwy. Co." and architectural environs suggests to us Benton Park. Further, the address number "2001" can be read above the front door of the house at left, rear, suggesting to us a location of the corner of Wisconsin and Arsenal, immediately across the street from Benton Park.
